HOW PRIVATE JET SAFETY IS MEASURED
Much like commercial airlines, private charters are governed by the Federal Aviation Administration, specifically Part 135. These regulations apply to private charter companies, air taxi services, medical/air ambulance operators and some small, scheduled commuter flights.
Part 135 sets standards for pilot qualifications and training, flight time and duty limits, aircraft maintenance requirements, operational procedures and safety management systems. FXAIR ensures all network operators adhere to and exceed Part 135 regulations, exhibiting industry best practices. This is all part of our comprehensive commitment to experience and expertise that enhances safety.
All pilots flying FXAIR missions must go above and beyond Part 135 operating requirements in several areas, including total hours as Pilot in Command, overall flight hours and possession of a first-class medical certificate. We know that well-trained and supported pilots are essential to secure flights, so we stand behind and reinforce their final say on whether an aircraft takes off or not. This ensures that every FXAIR flight meets the standards of some of the industry’s most experienced pilots.
24/7 FLIGHT MONITORING
Along with our standard approval processes that occur before each mission, our dedicated Safety Team conducts thorough evaluations 24 hours before your scheduled takeoff. We also look to our safety partners Wyvern and ARGUS for additional criteria. Wyvern is a global aviation safety company that provides audits, certifications and safety management solutions. ARGUS is an international company that offers safety ratings for charter operations using independent data and audits. If any FXAIR aircraft does not meet these rigorous requirements, you will not fly on it.
Once your pre-flight monitoring is complete, our Safety and Operations professionals continue to closely monitor the entirety of your flight details. This includes information leading up to and following the safe landing of your aircraft. We have professionals working around the clock, dedicated to always taking a safety-first approach to your journey.
QUALITY AIRCRAFT
Fewer than 35% of the now estimated 550 charter jet operators in the United States have passed the certification process to fly on behalf of FXAIR, starkly demonstrating our intensive safety protocols.
